Spring Nature Journalling
Event Dates
- Sunday, 04/19/2026 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Event Description
Learn to use a nature journal to connect with plants, animals, landscape, and yourself. We will practice letting go of details and focus on capturing forms and flow with quick sketching, adding basic color, and taking notes that put our experience of the moment on the page with artist Sonya Sankaran. During our hike we will plan to scout sprouting spring natives and ephemerals. While we will answer some botanical and ecological questions, the main focus will be to center and commemorate the experience in your journal. All of this class will occur outdoors with about a 1 mile hike on uneven terrain with small hills. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a prompt start.
