Paddle in the Park

Enjoy a morning paddle on Dane County waterways! This is a beginner level paddle on the Yahara River from LaFollette County Park to Viking County Park. 

 We have 10 canoes available to rent for $30 each or you are welcome to bring your own boat ($10 - no paddle boards). Each canoe can hold up to three adults (paddling) or 2 adults and 1-2 children. A PFD must be worn at all times while out on the water and will be provided. 

𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
The route is approximately 3 miles in length. 

• 8:30 - 8:45 am - Welcome and boat drop off at LaFollette County Park
• 8:45 - 9:15 am - Move vehicles to end point at Viking County Park. Dane County Parks van will shuttle you back to the starting point. We can only transport the driver of the vehicle due to space. 
• 9:15 - 9:30 Remarks/Safety Talk
• 9:30 - 11:30- Paddle from LaFollette County Park to Viking County Park

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, we will continue on with the paddle without you.
